Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Jason moved to Los Angeles to continue his career in the entertainment industry. Finding that his primary skill sets in the production world were his ability to network, anticipate clients’ needs, and negotiate the successful marriage between creativity and commerce, Jason took advantage of an opportunity to start a stage rental business in Santa Monica.
This endeavor sparked a keen interest in commercial real estate development, in particular, mixed-use creative spaces and converted industrial venues. Through this business Jason gained tremendous insight into the restoration and management of hybrid build-out projects and the intricacies of working with the city on land-use and permitting issues. Numerous consulting projects would follow, culminating in the restoration of a 150,000 square-foot studio lot in Long Beach called Thunder Studios.
Jason’s knowledge of commercial buildings and extensive experience with development led him into managing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties from DTLA to Oxnard. Currently, Jason specializes in both commercial and residential sales and leasing with a particular interest in community revitalization. He lives in Hancock Park and enjoys spending time with his family, playing hoops, and watching movies in the backyard under the stars.
